In order to help improve existing patient care and develop new new leading-edge treatments, The Stone Clinic is deeply committed to research, and dedicates significant resources to the effort. The Clinic pursues its research goals through its support of the Stone Research Foundation, founded in 1995 by Dr. Kevin Stone. The Foundation conducts many of its studies in cooperation with The Clinic, in order to help improve existing patient care and develop new treatments.
The Stone Research Foundation is at the forefront of a transformation in orthopaedics. Living biology is replacing hardware. Joint longevity and function are increasing dramatically. Combining a patient’s own adult stem cells with grafts and implants made from natural tissues, the Foundation's work harnesses natural healing and regenerative capacities to reconstruct damaged joints.
