Cartilage Paste Grafting - Combines Transplantation and Rehabilitation
with Initial Results
Clinical
Results - Articular Cartilage Paste Grafting for arthritic areas in the
knee promotes durable tissue formation and pain relief up to 12 years. There
are no complications and no significant risk to the procedure. The percent of
successful outcomes compares favorably to other techniques.

Biologic
Knee Reconstruction(Triple Procedure) - Treatment methods for articular
cartilage yield mixed results in part due to the fact that loss
of the meniscus or mechanical mal-alignment increases the stress on the healing
surfaces. A combined "triple" technique of articular cartilage paste grafting,
meniscal allografting, and medial opening wedge osteotomy may provide a temporizing
biological approach to predominantly unicompartmental arthritis.
Glucosamine Sulfate / Chondroitin
Sulfate (Anti-Inflammatory) - These two compounds have gained widespread
use for the treatment of arthritic conditions. Though initially skeptical
of "homeopathic" natural remedies, our patients have swayed our thinking
by reporting excellent symptomatic relief, comparable to Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs (NSAIDs).
