Extremity MRI
The extremity MRI is a dedicated peripheral joint MRI system that allows imaging of feet, ankles, knees, hands, wrists, and elbows. The unique architecture of this device does not require that the patient be placed within the confines of an MRI magnet; only the extremity to be imaged is placed inside the device while the patient rests comfortably in a padded chair. This MRI system permits imaging of those patients who would otherwise be unable to undergo a high-field strength examination. This scanner has new software that has been optimized to visualize cartilage and ligament injuries. Digital images are transmitted to our world-renowned radiologist, John V Crues, III, MD, as they are processed.

Full Digital X-ray
Digital x-rays are safer due to less radiation than from conventional x-ray, faster because the technology can preview your images in seconds and more comfortable because digital imaging technology is mobile. Exams often can be performed upright rather than on an examination table and require fewer repeat exposures because Dr. Stone has the ability to highlight areas of interest and magnify images for a more detailed exam. This machine also provides enhanced image quality and more accurate readings.
